INFLUENZA A&B Rapid Test Cassette

TEST KIT DESCRIPTION
The Clarity Influenza A+B Rapid Test Cassette qualitatively detects Influenza A+B viral antigens in nasal swab, throat swab, and nasal aspirate samples. This is a rapid test to differentiate in the diagnosis of Influenza A and B viral infections.

TEST PRINCIPLE
The Influenza A+B Rapid Test Cassette is a qualitative, lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of Influenza A and Influenza B nucleoproteins in nasal swab, throat swab or nasal aspirate samples. Antibodies specific to Influenza A and Influenza B nucleoproteins are separately coated on the test line regions of the test cassette. During testing, the extracted specimen reacts with the antibodies to Influenza A and/or Influenza B that are coated onto the membrane. The mixture migrates up the membrane to react with the antibodies to Influenza A and/or Influenza B generating one or two coloured lines in the test regions. The presence of this coloured line in either or both of the test line regions indicates a positive result. To serve as a procedural control, a coloured line will always appear in the control region to show the test has been performed properly.
